Every directive in Directive Shorthand 3.1, one page each: what it does, how you fire it, what the agent actually does, and what happens when a host can't. Start from a domain — or jump straight to a token.

Domain · FORMAT

re: — the reply's form

Six directives steer the reply's form. Two are Level 1 (voice, show) — the core every conforming agent honors; the other four are Level 2.

Silent verb: “make your reply …”

Domain · MEASURE

scale: — the reply's measure

Four directives — the four cells of one 2×2: effort in × words out. Two are Level 1 (brief, deep); the crossover pair (executive, wordy) is Level 2.

Silent verb: “set how much reply …”

style: — the reply's voice

Thirteen directives — every one a mode. One is Level 1 (plain); the other twelve are Level 2.

Domain · State

mem: — the state the agent holds

Five directives over the state the agent holds of you across answers: save it, pin it, fix it, recall it, forget it.

Silent verb: “alter the memory … — and, for the read, answer from the memory …”

Domain · KNOWLEDGE

learn: — what the agent knows

Two directives over the agent's subject knowledge: a skim study and a full study. Both are Level 2.

Silent verb: “take in and make part of what you know …”

Domain · Time

sch: — when things happen

Eight directives for timing: one per fundamental type of scheduling — one-shot, recurring, reminder, event-triggered, deadline — plus the lifecycle operations over all of them.

How to read these pages

The explorer is a hierarchy, like API docs. The domain pages (re:, scale:, style:, mem:, sch:) are the overview level: what the domain governs, its silent verb, and its rules — stacking, modes, guards. Each directive page is the detail level: the token and its shortest form, what it does, fired examples — typed, reply-targeted, and spoken — what the agent actually does under the hood, the honest fallback when a host lacks the capability, and the conformance test (“done when”) the directive must pass.

Nothing here adds or changes a meaning. Every page is assembled from the canonical sources in the spec repository — the specification, the machine-readable registry.json, the usage guide, and the per-directive implementation guides — and each directive page links back to all of them. If this explorer and the specification ever disagree, the specification governs.
