gen:doc
A document — a written artifact to read, keep, and send.
What it does
A document as the deliverable: a written artifact to read, keep, and send — a report, a letter, an essay — produced as a document in its own form, not as prose in the reply.
The registry's own words: A document as a deliverable: a written artifact to read, keep, and send — a report, a letter, an essay — produced as a document in its own form, not as prose in the reply.
Fire it — usage examples
“Write the quote letter as a proper document I can send.
gen:doc”→ the letter is produced as a document — formatted, self-standing, deliverable — not pasted into the reply.
“The incident write-up, as a report.
gen:do”→ a report document is delivered; the reply confirms the artifact and where it is.
Said aloud: “Lingo, generate doc — the quote letter.”
→ the document is produced and delivered as an artifact.
Spoken. Inside a marked span opened by the wake word “Lingo”, the spoken form is “generate doc”. Dictated directives fire deliberately, never by accident.
What the agent actually does
The agent composes the designated writing and produces it as a document in its own form — the format the message designates or the host’s document form — and delivers that artifact. Prose in the reply may summarize it, but the prose is not the document.
The baseline procedure, its edge cases, and this directive's full guide live in the implementation guide: implementation/IMPLEMENTATION.md#cmd-gen-doc ↗.
When the host can't
No generation capability for doc on this host: disclose it plainly, never fake a document, and never silently substitute prose in the reply for one. A description of the document is not the document.
Conformance — “done when”
A self-standing document is delivered in its own form, or the missing capability is disclosed — never reply prose silently substituted.
Persistence class: content-write. Execution report in the reply: required. A user can test any of this by hand — fire the directive, then check the result against the store, the schedule, or the reply itself.
